  • How Relays Work: Relays are the handy little electronic devices that are used to turn on and off individual channels. A +5V signal energizes the relay to allow electricity to reach the lights and turn them on.
  • PC Parallel Port Signals: The eight digital output lines on a computer's parallel port are manipulated to send out data patterns that are remotely decoded and used to drive individual relays.
  • Serial Peripherial Interface: Information about the SPI serial data format that is used to communicate with the hardware in this display.
